I started my training in Jodo in fall 1995. It took me almost half of a year to find out that I really enjoyed this activity, but from then on I was dedicated. I took part in every training weekend in Vienna and also went on some of the courses outside of Austria, like the annual Kagamibiraki.
In 1998 I intensified my budo-activities. The sword had always been my weaker side in jodo and so I started training in Iaido to get a better feeling for the sword. I also increased my travels to foreign jodo courses. In the summer I took part in the European summer camp, which lasts a week, for the first time.

In 2000 I looked into Aikido, but have not continued. I think that Jodo will always be the most important discipline for me. Other Budo come second to Jodo and sometimes I only do them because I believe my Jodo benefits from things I learn there.
Budo has become a very important part of my life. I had to cut short other interests, but I believe it's worth it. I've met many great people through Budo, in Vienna as well as outside of my country. I've learned some things about myself, but most of all, I simple enjoy doing it.

Jodo Info

Because of my interest in Jodo I have collected a list of Jodo-links and written a short introduction to Jodo.
